Wk 14-Classmate Conversation-Monique Alcala

This week I had the pleasure of meeting Monique. She’s 4th year Civil Engineering student here at CSULB. She’ll be finishing up in the Spring of 2018. She’s from Downey, California. Some of Monique’s hobbies are sleeping, reading, blogging, listening to music, hiking, and exploring the city. She currently works as a tutor for the Downey unified school district and is looking for internship in her field of work. For our classmate conversation, we discussed and both agreed that classes would be very tech savvy. She believes that the traditional classroom will no longer exist due to technology developing more and more. She says she’d feel bummed out if that were the case because if everything was online, we’d miss out on all the classroom experience and face to face interaction that is sometimes well needed in order for a student to learn. We both hope that it doesn’t become that way because it could have negative impact for the future.
